Filmmaker Adam Stephen Kelly takes flight at pro wrestling event

Award-winning writer and director Adam Stephen Kelly (DONE IN, KILL KANE) was a special guest at this past weekend's KAPOW pro wrestling event in West Sussex, England, and ended up involved in the action!

Kelly, best known for the critically-acclaimed DONE IN and vigilante thriller KILL KANE starring Vinnie Jones, was introduced to the live crowd by fan-favourite Priscilla - the self-professed Queen of the Ring and star of TNA British Boot Camp on Challenge TV - but quickly earned the ire of the villainous Karl Atlas.

Later in the show, things came to a head during a huge six-man tag team main event when Kelly was viciously attacked in an unprovoked assault by Shar'kuul and his partners HIIT. Moments later, however, Kelly found himself alone in the ring after being saved by the likes of Major Lee Buff and El Technico Supremo. With the wrestlers battling at ringside, the filmmaker took the ultimate leap of faith to exact revenge on his attackers!

KAPOW is a professional wrestling promotion based in the south of the UK, with a focus on big characters, bold colours and family-friendly entertainment. The company is part of the British wrestling revolution, with the industry drawing its biggest crowds and highest popularity in decades. This month, ITV is reviving its legendary programme World of Sport for a one-off primetime television wrestling special.
